Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (OWTS) are used to treat wastewater from a home and return treated wastewater back into the receiving environment. They are typically referred to as septic systems, because most involve a septic tank for partial treatment.
The National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association (NOWRA) and RCAP Solutions are hosting an in-person no-cost training for homeowners so that they can learn more about their system and what maintenance may be needed.
Workshop will provide information on:
How an OWTS processes wastewater
Necessary maintenance for typical onsite systems
How to implement changes in your home to reduce strain on your system
Resources for solving basic problems with your system
