Board of Selectmen

The Board of Selectmen is the Chief Executive Office of the Town. The Board consists of three (3) members elected to three (3) year terms. One seat is elected each year at the Annual Town election.  The Board is the chief policy setting body in town. 

The Board hires a Town Administrator to serve as the Chief Administrative Officer to manage the day to day operations of the town.

The Board generally meets the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6PM in the Selectmen's Chambers on the Upper Level of Town Hall, 272 Main Street, Townsend. Meetings are listed in the calendar on the website's home page.
