Hunting in Townsend

Townsend has no additional regulations beyond the standard state regulations. We ask that you hunt and fish in season with a license and in accordance with applicable laws in designated areas (MGL Ch. 131 and 321 CMR). No constructed feature intended to facilitate such activity is allowed.

While Townsend does allow hunting on Townsend Conservation owned land, these properties do not have proper signage marking their boundaries. We are working to put up the necessary signage, but until that point when user safety is ensured, we ask that you please hunt in the designated State Wildlife Management Areas only.
