Land Use Department

The mission statement of the Land Use Department is to guide the development of land and its use within the Town of Townsend in a manner that preserves the Town's unique character while guiding reasonably planned growth and development.

To accomplish the mission of the department, there are three land use boards: Planning Board, Conservation Commission, and Zoning Board of Appeals.
