The meeting was opened at 12:05PM present were Tubby Boucher, John Barrett, Roger Rapoza and Pam Haman.

 

Minutes from the March 1,2022 meeting were approved

 

Bills and Payroll were reviewed and approved.

 

Deeds Signed.

 

Correspondence: Letter of support from the Historical Society for Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival by Tim Swanson.  The program would educational/survival courses in Howard Park.  The letter gave a brief overview of the history of Howard Park as well as the importance of teaching programs like these to benefit the community. John made a motion to approve the use of Howard Park by Tim Swanson for teaching/survival programs or activities.  Tubby second all ere in favor motion carried.

 

Discus:

Adams Dam:  Michael Crowley, land use Coordinator informed Roger that a $5,000 grant had been awarded for consultant fees to see how to best restore/preserve the riverbank area at Adams Dam.  

 

Common Sidewalks:  Roger reported that salt and sand had been used on the sidewalks during the winter months.  This caused the sidewalk to become pitted and concrete has stated to corrode in some areas.  Roger has sent pictures to JAM corporation to best see how to remedy the situation.  Several option such as a seal or replacing the affected sidewalks were mentioned.  There is approx. just over 5,000 from the grant/town meeting appropriation that could be used.  Roger asked Chaz to please mention at BOS meeting so that contractor would not be blamed.

 

Howard Park- see above under correspondence.

 

Superintendents Report:

An old design scheme of the Bandstand was found, copies were made for FOB and others that might use the design in the restoration of the bandstand.

Auditors will be auditing the Common Side walk repair grant.  Pam will get necessary info to Terry, Interim Town Accountant.

 

Next meeting scheduled for April 13, 2022 at noon.  This will be Ray Boyes last meeting as he is not seeking reelection.
